Presidential hopeful unfamiliar with how clocks work

He’s not unsure. Very confident, probably. Just wrong.

EDIT: The title on the post doesn’t match the title on the comment page. Oh well.

Also, I’d much rather have a clock that loses a minute a day than a broken one, even though it is only right about once every two years.

A broken digital clock set for 24 hr time would only be right once per day.

Depends on the kind of the display. If the display is stuck to a value (mechanical, e-ink, etc…), then yes. If the display goes dead (LED, LCD…), then the clock won’t be right at any time.

A clock that’s “working” yet calibrated wrong is never right.

Would “turning backward” count as miscalibration?

See, that’s what happens when you take your smart glasses off.

Is… he saying that he is broken but still working, so as to assure people that should he be elected he will be correct only once per day?

Because a broken clock that is still working is not likely to be correct even that often.

But really, cut this poor fool some slack, he’s only trying to outshine GWB in GWB fashion, which is no small feat.
