I’m surprised these haven’t been printed on t-shirts, sold to artsy teens, got those artsy teens mocked, became popular with other teens, became a fad, had artsy teens mocked for being wannabe joiners, adopted by a major fast food chain. had a tie-in video game, forgot about for 20 years, became fodder for “remember when” nostalgia clickbait memes.

Some of those images remind me of a Migraine. The example in this clip resembles the dotted images. My own resemble the zigzag images. So perhaps it’s not music or drug experiences at all. Just fellow sufferers trying to explain the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVFIcF9lyk8

Those zigzag lines instantly made me think of migraine auras / scotomas. (I get auras but not the headaches.)
