Looks about the same to me. But I just started using Duck Duck Go last week and everything looks different.
eta: I see clear difference when I go look on Chrome.

Seems bigger to me!
If that’s copied directly (I can’t check at the moment), it could be responsible for a change in appearance: there is a font named Arial, but I don’t know of an Ariel.
I noticed immediately, thought i’d accidentally zoomed in. Ctrl
0
does nothing!
I just sat down and opened BB on my phone, something didn’t seem the same but I’m very tired so I just started scrolling and checked in on this topic.
Put me down for something is different but I can’t put my finger on it.
Nothing bad or unusable just different.
First world problem but at least it’s not just me.
Interestingly, I’ve noticed this on other websites but not on BBS. I wonder if the default font selection in my browser (some Chromium flavor) changed on a recent update.
(Edit: everything in browser settings looks typical. :shrugmoji:)
… I noticed in one of my old comments there is suddenly an emoji orphaned on a separate line
which I have deliberately been avoiding
so definitely fonts are bigger now, or margins are wider, or something
Looks like Atari has the same problem as Guardian, with disappearing pictures from the OneBox. First time I recall seeing it somewhere besides Guardian.
It would be nice to get a short Bio from some of the secondary contributors.
I suspect some are pen names, but even so but a little blurb would go along way towards transparency, and is consistent with a pro-journalism vibe.
What has always made BoingBoing great were the quality of the writers and their distinct point of view coming through in their contributions.
I’m in favor of requiring all the contributors to have a BBS account. Not requiring them to use it, but just so there’s proper attribution when the article makes it over to the BBS.
Aha. This had not occurred to me. Second the desire for a bio.
Anyone else seeing a problem with gifs posted from the gif widget? Such as in this post of mine:
However, if I upload a gif that’s on my computer instead…
Anyone else seeing this error?
In case… here is what it looks like with the gifs from the gif widget…
Yeah, I’m seeing the same thing, at least in that thread.
thanks!
I’m also not seeing the gifs, but the broken link graphic instead.
Yep, that’s what I’ve been seeing… Thanks!
Same here, Sugarplum.
Is it doing this in other threads?
eta: maybe it’s specific to one thread
