I think it might have just gotten fixed?

I still see the broken link symbols.
Same here, at 7:55pm EDT. I even reloaded the page while bypassing the cache.
So still an ongoing issue for some, it seems?
Found a wierd bug when trying to post this post: Trump the Chump (Part 2) - #2257 by failquail
If i post:
as a massive trol for giggles
I get trol
as a massive trolley for giggles
I get trolley
Edit again: T R O L L =trolley?
Can’t find a way around it. Left it as the first typo variant as it makes more sense,
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
I’m not convinced
Well, at any rate it’s deliberate. The idea is that it discourages posters of accusing one another of trolling, since you can only say it if you know the magic. “Moist” is that way too but more as a running gag.
Yeah, on reflection i can see the reason, just caught me off guard to start with
If one knows the secret of posting a particular word, there can be… consequences…
(This is why my avatar has elf ears. )
i hope every bit of this is true.
Is the image gallery function broken for everyone? Clicking on an image, like the one in @Nightflyer 's post, just gives me a black screen on my phone.
This happens about 60% of the time for me on desktop. I’d chalked it up to one of my many browser plugins so I’d been ignoring it, but maybe it’s not just me.
I uploaded that from my tablet. Though I think I’d done that before for a different post, so the image would be stored on whatever drive/cloud the BBS uses to store images. I’m not sure why it doesn’t show up for some (it’s working for me.)
It consistently does it on any image at all for me, so I don’t think it’s related to how you uploaded it, but it might have something to do with my browser (Brave for Android) or maybe some privacy-related setting.
The original coversation took place here: The easy-to-make Twitter egg sandwich is easy to make - #70 by bunkyboar
I took screencaps and pasted them into one easy-to-access image to preserve the lore, but it’s all there. How “true” it all is, is pretty much up to the reader.
Its been four months and this annoying feature still persists. For me only, it seems. Aggravating
I can’t duplicate this, which means it’s probably specific to a setting/version/platform you’re using. It’s best to take that to a support post in meta.discourse.org to see if they can figure it out.
