I played when I was younger with my older cousin as the DM. I really like reading the books when I was at my cousins house like the Monster Manual. Recently, I went on Amazon to buy those books and see the the originals going for over 100 dollars.
In high school I asked for the Player’s Handbook for my birthday. The guy at the store sold my mom the freshly published DM’s Guide instead. But I knew players were not supposed to know what was in the DM Guide. So I took it back to the store.
Yeah, that self-imposed separation of knowledge lasted about a month.

So, genuine question - why has it taken him four hours to read 33 pages out loud, so far?
What it is about this book in particular that makes it take so much longer than usual…?
