Would that be the movie shown on TCM today? But wasn’t Ron Howard a very good actor when he was young? Didn’t I find the TV series a bit more offensive (the obsequious portrayal of the TV Mrs. Livingston, “Mr. Eddie’s Father,” and all that)?

But isn’t the housekeeper as played by Miyoshi Umeki in the series a far more developed (and sympathetic) character than the housekeeper in the film, despite the pandering stereotypes in the language? Though perhaps this is because Umeki - already an Oscar winner - was such a great actress? And isn’t that better than the film, where everyone in sight is white as snow and there is grating dialogue about how women with narrow eyes are evil, whereas women with round eyes are good? And isn’t Glenn Ford casually sexist throughout the movie, whereas Bill Bixby seems to actually like and respect women rather more?

Didn’t I feel like Bill Bixby seemed more empathetic than Glenn Ford? And wasn’t the discussion about women’s measurements super uncomfortable? Don’t I dislike the TV series because my hellish siblings called me Brandon Cruz because I had a pixie haircut (aha, the truth?)? Didn’t you feel sorry for Brandon Cruz in the original Bad News Bears? Do you think Ron Howard keeps in touch with his older sister/neighbor Shirley Jones?

Does anyone else have a cat that drinks her water with her paw? Isn’t it like she dips her paw in the water, and licks it off? Is this normal cat behavior? Isn’t this the same level of weirdness that my late cat attained when he was eating cobwebs for no discernible reason?

Didn’t one of our kitties also play with his water? And since he passed on, doesn’t our other kitty do that now? Aren’t they just touching the water just to be sure it’s where they think they left it? Or to check to be sure it’s safe to drink?

Oyster stout traditionally uses oysters as part of the brewing process, and that is the flavour that differentiates them from other stouts. While it is traditional to use oysters, some modern breweries use artifical flavours in their oyster stouts, or simply say that they are intended to be eaten with seafood.

Wasn’t I out in the bowels of hell, aka San Bernardino, for father’s day? Would you believe that when I looked at my weather app while standing outside in line for the restaurant that my father-in-law wanted to go to it said 107°F?
Aren’t I glad to be back home relaxing in my hammock since it feels pretty durn cool?
