Isn’t it already 90 this morning in the foothills east of San Diego? And on its way to 105? And as always when it gets hot, isn’t there a moderately worrisome fire in Potrero, about 12 miles east of here? Didn’t we smell the smoke off and on all night?

Dry heat? Haven’t I noticed an increase in the humidity over the years, despite the drought(s)? Wasn’t it drier back in the 70s and 80s?

Won’t I also end up with nice but unpractical patterns if I would run into such a thing?
Is the dress on the right (2757) maybe not good to alter a bit, at some lining (also sleeves…) and make-able into a very nice ‘daily’ dress?
Can you resist nice (like good fine corduroy, linen, woolen) fabrics when cheap, even when you do not need it at that moment?

Didn’t I used to buy whatever fabric caught my fancy (which explains why I have so much STUFF in my stash), but haven’t I cut back on unnecessary purchases since I went back to school and had to tighten my purse strings?

When I am an old woman I shall wear black
