Vivid memories of food poisoning from their Mall of America restaurant.
I didn’t get food poisoning, but every dish I had there on my last visit was extremely over-salted. Not going back.
The concept is charming, there’s a lot to love (visually) about dining in a rainforest with animatronic creatures. But yeah, i ate at one ages ago and the food was entirely forgettable. No seriously, i have no memory of what i had and what i thought of it.
I ate at Rainforest Cafe in Niagara Falls once, because… well because the kids wanted to I guess, and it offered the incentive of not having to go outside of our hotel in the rain. It was a fun experience, but a very strong contender for the most overpriced food I’ve ever eaten, as should come to no surprise to anyone familiar with either Rainforest Cafe or Niagara Falls.
i have a Landry’s Select Club card. would it work for priority seating?
I didn’t realize that there were so many of them left. All the ones that were in my area closed years ago.
Rainforests are dying, and so are their cafes – Sequoit Media.
The one in Anaheim that was themed like a Mayan temple got transformed into a Star Wars merchandise location, which worked surprisingly well, theme-wise. It’s very similar in vibe to the Rebel base on Yavin 4.
