I had to read that a few times, my brain crashed so I just assumed what the gist of it was. I started to read the lovely comic and can see that there should been one fewer nots in there, “Somewhere to be not safe, not protected, and not kept away. Somewhere to stay who I wanted to be.”
I like the look of this, reminds me of Cory’s “In Real Life” a bit, or the sneaky escapism in “Ready Player One”. I’d like to see more.
