If superheroes became a real thing you can bet insurers would put exclusion clauses in every policy, STAT!
(And not ONE single post I’ve read today has had a working comments link. Had to search the BBS page for every one of them.)
Yeah, there would have to be some government program, especially since they would have to give superheroes some sort of authority to act as they do.
Can’t watch the video yet, but without insurance coverage Tony Stark wouldn’t remain a billionaire very long! The Avengers would spend so much time in court, it would be ridiculous.
I’m imagining the jobs the rest of that crew would have to take in order to make settlement payments or pay restitution. Time to rewatch The Incredibles…
The beginning of the second movie was all about how The Incredibles cost the city more in damages than if they had just let the Underminer go. It was a brilliant send up to just this topic!
