Apologies for this pause for a serious comment, but here’s some real white tears, over real white people problems.
Tears that don’t come out of white people when the same problem is not a white people problem.
Funny (not) how white folks get all serious with new crisis-aversion laws and rehabilitation ideas, instead of crackdowns and incarceration, when a drug problem affects mostly white people.

“I think it was pretty clear that our response during the crack cocaine epidemic was largely a criminal justice response,” Kolodny [executive director of Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing] said. “Whenever you hear people talking about our opioid crisis, within the first few minutes you hear someone say something to the effect that we can’t arrest our way out of this problem.”
