You do need to deal with the emergency, yes.
However, a response that involves returning the corporate Dems to power is akin to hiring Typhoid Mary as a nurse. They share a large part of the responsibility for creating the current disaster.
The underlying disease requires urgent treatment as well. Negative peace is insufficient for the times.
The “both sides are equally bad” nonsense lost any credibility it had a long time ago.
Nobody is advocating complacency once the fascist currently occupying the office is gone. Keep protesting and advocating. Just don’t pooh-pooh people for trying to make sure the country retains some shred of legal accountability and national sovereignty.

Dems are bad, GOP is worse. Both are catastrophic, both gave us Trump. There are solutions, but “let’s go back to how it was before” is not one of them.
Dems gave us Hillary. GOP gave us Trump. If Hillary had won it would be ridiculous to blame Republicans for that outcome.
