While I’m not impressed with Samsung’s recent product safety record; I do have to admit a certain amount of enthusiasm for the fact that you can apparently now get consumer-grade washing machines that are zesty enough to share failure modes with proper centrifuges.
It has long been known that an angry centrifuge, never mind an ‘ultracentrifuge’ was abundantly capable of ruining your day; but that was pricey scientific/industrial gear, not household laundry stuff. Apparently washing machines are made of sterner stuff than they used to be.
