Very designerly, but only if you want mood lighting; it doesn’t seem like it would throw enough light for, say, comfortable reading.

Hi, ML. Thank you. Actually they have tons of separately-operated LED spot and flood bulbs inside. Flexible lighting from dim mood to “stupidly” bright was a key component of the installation. (Lamps are always dimmed down for photos otherwise they blow out the exposure.)

I could get behind the ‘stupidly bright’ part of it (showing my own bias for well lit reading areas) as well as nightlight-suitable. Too bad the entire array of options doesn’t show up nicely.
