I can imagine sheās an exacting artist. What she does is performance art and she probably has those expectations.
My first attempt at turntablism in the 1990s was scratching Diamanda Galas records! It was āThirteen Women with Steak Knivesā, the flip side of āLitanies of Satanā, and still a fave of mine years later.
Bowie was a great writer, but a poor performer of his own material.

Was that the performance from the BRIT awards? (Itās a toss up for me between that and Devo for best cover of Satisfaction, though the Devo version always makes me smile when the manic guitar comes in.)
