wonder why “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies” were more well known when we were kids, even though “Silly Symphonies” was first :thinking:

Probably because both of those were on TV way more as kids. I don’t think I had heard of Silly Symphonies until I was an adult.

I don’t think I have seen “Merry Melodies” used for a few decades, but “Looney Tunes” I believe is still in use today and definitely still making content when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s.

Just skimming wikipedia, Silly Syphonies hasn’t had new content since the late 50s.

I actually bought a Finnish translation of this from 1996.
