Scraps is just the best!
Easy peasy. Now say “Giertz”!
This has truly everything I could ever ask for in a video-watching experience, and all in under 15 minutes. Thank you for sharing. Simone Giertz deserves all the Legos.
This just made me realize that one of my “rich people” things I would do would be to cover the walls of my son’s room in all Lego. The interior of that photo booth was quite attractive!
This is one of those rare truly wonderful things in 2020.
May Brian the brain tumor forever continue to be a boring and non-aggressive reminder that existence feels the need to crap on everything that’s lovely.
What a lucky dog, I bet she’s feeling pretty fancy rn.
I don’t have lego sponsorship to make this, but I do have a cat so the cardboard boxes will be fine.
Continuing the discussion from Simon Giertz builds a pet selfie photo booth:
This was pretty cool. I admit, I jumped to the end because I cared more about seeing the final results than the making process. Then at the 12:47 mark, I felt everything took a strange turn. She says she wanted to try the camera with other dogs, but she doesn’t have any friends. And then I just felt sad for her because she had to have her robot try the camera instead. I wanted to give her a hug, or at least bring my pet over to try the machine (does it work for goldfish?)
I wouldn’t worry too much. She’s just moved to LA from San Francisco, where as far as I can tell she was pretty involved in the local maker community. Making friends in a new city in the Covid era isn’t easy but things won’t stay like this forever. Plus she has a very self deprecating sense of humour that might clash a bit with American sensibilities. I don’t think having no friends was an accurate statement.
