This would be a great concession concept for airports for a small business.
Airport vending machine contracts tend to be very small-business unfriendly. For something like this you want to have a space where the rental cost is relatively low and your own staff can have easy access for refilling.
Some airports are setting up these options specifically for micro businesses and specialty vending machines are a part of those efforts. I did this work in airports. Specifically with small and disadvantaged businesses.
Were the costs low enough that they could still sell the books at regular cover price?
Nice receipts
Honestly, though, how much of a cultural value add is an indie SF vending machine for an airport? Just a wall of hyper-local goods to cement where you are.
Good work!
That’s a major interest of locals - having a mix of national and local brands & providing a sense of place at the airport.
Especially City Council
