Our dog has a similar relationship with a neighbour’s much smaller dog, who is a year older than him. Because of his temperament, he has been the first non-parent dog that about 4 local puppies have been introduced to, since he never snaps at them.
As with people some dogs are very good at socialising and some are not so good.
