Snowden v. Zimmerman

When comparing CNN, HLN, and MSNBC's non-stop coverage of Zimmerman to that of the Snowden affair, in the context of growing public support for Edward Snowden, the dissonance is astounding.

How close are we to a tipping point where public sentiment trounces forces like Feinstein and Ban Ki-moon denouncing Snowden, the US and EU embracing austerity measures, and mainstream media coverage of mostly asinine stories like Zimmerman?

And this is awesome:

Zimmerman's story isn't "asinine." It's proof that Americans still don't live in the "post-racial" society that most white Americans think they do.
