Now that’s my idea of fun.
Deja vu…
(the flashing in the video is a bit on the strobe-y side of things)
I am SPARTVCUS.
I have to say, that these TV’s are worthless and it is dumping. I tried to donate (give away) my old CRT TV to the TV repair shop, and even that guy didn’t want it. Each one of these is a trip to the electronics recycling location (at the landfill for me). Truly embodying pollution as an market externality here, by literally putting it on someone else’s lawn!.
But then the performance artist in me says…
Hmm - is it Canti from FLCL?
Or Retro from Dead Leaves?
Look if people are going to put camera at their doors and publish the video for the public to see, do you want performance art, cause this is how you get performance art.
I’m just impressed he was wearing pants.
I guess that’s why they call it, “Security Theatre”.
Actually, wasn’t there a group who started putting on silent versions of plays in front of CCTV cameras?
I remember that, but don’t recall the group. But it did bring to mind this song, so I’ll share that instead of clarification:
(eta) I found this:

A few years back, in Manhattan, I met a group of political artists called the Surveillance Camera Players. They were exercised about the violation of their rights by New York’s hundreds of CCTV cameras. They made their point by performing short, silent plays into camera lenses on the streets of Manhattan, under the gaze of both silent cameras and bemused passersby.
Were they the first? I have no idea.

If you keep one of those TVs and plug it in, after a while it grows legs.
Some are TVs, some are monitors. Likewise for the heads. There is more than one of them!
My personal favorite TV-headed character of all-time.
That ups the absurd factor. A nice touch!
Could it be this guy?
I think I’ll go old school T-1000:
