What’s the big deal? You spend $1700 on a novelty robot toy, you obviously don’t give a rat’s ass about where your money’s going. $26/mo is small change.

Sorry, I don’t mean to wealth-shame anyone, but here’s a hint anyway: you could donate that money to a charity and get a tax break.

Such a need if present is would be by design. If that’s the case, then the customer is the product and it’s doubly offensive to charge anything for usage.

Oddly enough, not in Japan. To the best of my knowledge we don’t get a tax deduction on charity donations for Japanese tax. If someone is paying both Japanese and US tax then they can maybe/probably claim on their US filing.
