Soviet Union's first electric car, Avtotor Amber, set to revolutionize the roads

If it performs as as well as russian tanks, then that company is going to be in trouble

You may be on to something there. Perhaps Russian design has gone in the direction of making their products too unappealing to be stolen.

If Russia ever gets around to making their version of Breaking Bad , this will be the series’ Pontiac Aztec.

There’s the third option which is it does get produced but doesn’t come close to the much hyped announcement - like the Kinzhal ‘hypersonic’ missile which the Ukrainians don’t seem to have much trouble shooting down.

File this car alongside the Soyuz 5, Soyuz 7 and Yenesei rockets; the Federation manned space capsule; the new Russian space station; the Su-75 sixth generation fighter aircraft; the CRAIC 929 airliner…

In post-Soviet Russia, electric car charges you

So the USSR gave no shits about the driver seeing other vehicles?
The blindspots in those things are enormous. Even worse visibility than the car in the OP, which would be bad.

You can blame Italy for upper one.

Or do you mean that panel vans?

The Fiat images had rear side windows, and most had side mirrors. The soviet images have neither. There would be no possible way to see what’s on the right side of that panel van

I did software and website development for many years. I always stuck with the back side where all the functionality lives, but I understood the importance of UI/UX. (Which was why I didn’t attempt it!) It’s likely no surprise at all how many developers don’t understand that importance.

Your software/car/nuclear powered paper shredder is ugly and has a bad control interface? Yes, it matters!

I don’t know why, but it reminds me of the AMC Pacer. (Which in turn looked like a pregnant Ford Pinto. :woman_shrugging: )
