Maybe some peon at head office gets blamed and fired?

Yeah, for so many union-busting tactics, even if the company is found guilty, the “punishment” often consists solely of being told “don’t do that again.” (And if they do do it again, and are found guilty again, they’re told “Don’t do that again, again.”) There’s no real consequences for any of it, so why wouldn’t they do it?

If you believe in unions, don’t go to Starbucks unless it’s unionized then go a lot.
