Chipotle probably sees this as a win, only lawyer fees and a one-time fine of 240k?
that’s a drop compared to what they’d have to pay if they every store unionized
not arguing against unions, arguing against cheap fines like this.
and they got to show off, “try to unionize and we’ll close your store and make you fight for months for the same job at another further away store.”

Except that a precedence has now been set and Judges LOVE precedence.
So it will be much harder for them to try this again

i agree, but it’s also probably a lot less likely to happen again due to the chilling effect chipotle’s actions had
