A subvariant that has apparently improved on it’s parent in at least transmissibility. How the other characteristics play will be clear before much longer, but it sounds like it should be fairly similar to omicron in most ways. Until the next one pops up, and it will. We apparently love providing feedstock for the development of new and improved models. Sigh.
