I get the “joke” - I just don’t think it’s funny.
The issue with the DGA, at least in the past, is that most of their members are “below the line”, which means they don’t get residuals. Traditionally, the DGA has been more willing to get to a contract than the SAG or WGA, whose members depend on residuals. Things could change this time.
