I read the design one, so that’s the one I recommend. The other is probably good too, though.

I like the original title better, but the author says the text is better in the revised version. I have only actually read the latter, myself, and I agree with you that it’s excellent, and I recommend it too! I wouldn’t hire anyone to build any sort of user interface unless they’d either already read it, or were willing to read it right away.
