As stated numerous times already, that adjective was taken from the tweet in which this story originated.
As a person of color, I also don’t think this incident counts as “super racist”; just average, everyday racist.
Was the title overly hyperbolic? Absolutely.
Such is the case with most headlines on most social networks, in my experience; that’s how they draw people in.
But that doesn’t mean that all related conversation should be hindered just because the title could have been worded better.
And I am aware that there are many White people who have dark hair, but that really wasn’t the focal point here; instead it’s that 100% of the “cool” people are lighter than everyone else pictured… thereby possibly subconsciously reinforcing negative stereotypes that are already unfairly attributed to people of color.
