‘Super racist’ pool safety poster prompts Red Cross apology

It’s interesting to thread jacking trolls.

Other people are posting about men and violence. At least I was posting pool rules in a thread about pool rules. At least on my screen, this is the thread about the Red Cross poster.

In my observation, at two-and-a-half days in and 250+ replies, many if not most threads are going to have some divergent humor. To me, it’s not unreasonable or thread-jacking, at this point.

Here’s some pretty flowers :tulip: :cherry_blossom: :rose: :hibiscus: :blossom:

Disingenuous attempt to deflect is disingenuous.

The point of this thread is about subliminal bigotry and deeply rooted preconceived notions.

Other people’s tangents and deviations from the topic at hand are irrelevant to your own comments.

Furthermore, it seems to be a regular habit of yours to take the contrary position on many incendiary subjects, and somehow I don’t think that’s by accident.

Please note the tar baby on the avatar, which is a dragon mandated improvement from a prior avatar deemed inflammatory. Oopsies!

Some people just want to not get along, no matter how much hot air they gotta blow to make that happen.

Is that what that thing is?

I didn’t care enough to even bother taking a closer look.

Oh, I concur; ‘some people only want to watch the world burn’ and all that jazz.

What I don’t get is the perpetual feigning of ignorance/innocence.

If constantly stirring the shit is your thing, then just own it.

I think pool posters in different places do relate to the topic. The Japanese rule about tattoos certainly relates to the concept of preconceived notions, at least from my perspective. Generally, it is western people who seem confused and upset by that rule, as they do not understand it’s origins. I certainly do not try to post contrary positions for the sake of disharmony. But I will try to ensure that I do not do so in the future. I reserve the right to hold differing positions from the majority, as long as those positions are presented without rudeness or vulgarity. I guess the Iceland poster is somewhat vulgar, so there is that. Possibly the " Bitte nicht in die dushen" poster as well, in hindsight.

I’m not the one who said it, so calm your tits.
