Why, why has BBC America failed me? I’ve seen enough Trek reruns to quote dialogue and notice missing/cut scenes, but never saw this series once!

Sharpe wasn’t made by the BBC, so they don’t have the rights to show it. It was made by Central Independent Television (now Carlton) for ITV (the first privately owned competitor to the BBC)

If you can, find the high def release from a few years ago. This video shown here represents a very flat and “muddy” look to the show which was the norm for the series. The high def restores to a brilliant look.
The only person who has died more onscreen than Sean Bean was Sir John Hurt, RIP (for real.)
