T-Mobile receives thousands of complaints after reneging on "lifetime price lock" deal

My mobile phone plan is €9 a month.

I actually got an email from them the other day saying they weren’t raising my data cap like higher paying people so I’m stuck on 50GB.

Which is just fine thanks.

We used to have a land line with our broadband at home but the €5 extra for robot voices claiming to be Amazon and Indian people ringing up about my Windows really wasn’t worth it.

They will raise my base rate I’m sure and I’ll find some other ultra cheap provider if they go too high.

Yeah, every time I read how much Americans are paying for their mobile phone plans I almost do a spit take. And the two countries I have phone plans in are among the more expensive ones in Europe!

(Tbf, neither comes with a phone, but I have done the maths, and it is never worth it to take a contract that basically adds on a consumer credit scheme, as long as you have the cash to buy a phone outright every few years)

Yeah, I am in the fortunate situation that I can buy a phone.

Also in the fortunate situation that if I want a high spec phone for cheap I can buy a Chinese one and it will work (though I can’t buy Huawei brands any more obviously).

And even if I couldn’t buy a good one I could go off the phone for a few months and then buy a €200 phone with the contract savings which will get me a very good phone and then a tenner for the services. It wouldn’t have a fruit logo on it and the camera wouldn’t draw pictures of things it can’t see with such frequency but, for example, YouTube would work better on it.
