I am not a re-watcher of things and I pretty much always hate it when people decide that one property has to be adapted to another medium just because.
That being said, I have watched WWDITS three times and season one probably four or five times. It is perfect. Waititi is a freakin’ genius and I’ve loved nearly everything he’s done. I’ll go down any path he lays.

I can already imagine a slightly embarrassed pirate with a soft Kiwi accent politely demanding that the captain of a Spanish galleon turn over all valuables in the cargo hold, please.

I’m sure this will be great but I’m pretty amazed that with all these pirate movies nobody has done anything with Anne Bonny and Mary Read. Two real-life badass women buccaneers!
