I saw Barbarella with Jane Fonda back when I was a little kid in pajamas and my family took us to a Drive-In double feature: Those two little girls siccing their dolls with metal teeth on Barbarella left a lasting impression on me.
The Voodoo doll in Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black sealed the deal. Dolls can be terrifying.

not due to scary dolls, mind you. no, Granbury, Texass is the scary of this story. i’ll never go back there.
