I got exactly the same score. 83%, no mistakes. I didn’t exactly enjoy all the loanwords, less-used conjugations, or otherwise strangely prefixed or suffixed terms, but this was interesting.
“Sulfathiazole” is bullshit too. Okay, it’s a real thing that exists that someone gave a name to, but naming your kid who is a real person who exists “Zgrzzmmmphdré” doesn’t make “Zgrzzmmmphdré” an English word.
he goes by “Dré” of course
70%. I got dinged heavily by words that are reasonable, understandable, but not words. This is why German makes more sense. Just because you conjugate in a rare way doesn’t make it incorrect.
Asking people to speak “correct” English is like asking them to put on shackles. It’s already a bastard hybrid of Germanic and Latin, with a bunch of imported words.
Words I did not know:
(“d’oh” group): commercialistic, alkane, pearlescent
(“wat” group): germen, chapleted, tansy
You didn’t know “pearlescent?” Have you never ejaculated?
that must hurt quite a bit.
At least you didn’t get some freaking Old English runes…
@XantheStone, @anon29631895, don’t fill out the initial survey form.
It did the same thing to me if I answered the questions, but when I didn’t, it worked. (93%!)
That’s the great thing about English!
Q: “Is Quobfobble a word in English?”
A: It is now! HA HA!
Well it’s been used at least twice now.
Only if you do it right.
Most of the nonwords look sort of like English. They’re traps for the gullible.
Still didn’t work in my firefox… Tried it in MS Edge without entering the info and it worked.
I only got 89% – I should have followed my gut with the 3 non-words to which I said yes…
