Talking science fiction, technological self-determination, inequality and competition with physicist Sean Carroll

Excellent podcast. I confess I was surprised that CD was Sean Carroll’s guest, but then I thought it would be mostly about arts and culture. Duh. CD was fast, clear-headed and authoritative and covered so many ideas and aspects of the world in all its glorious dysfunction that it should have made my head spin, but for the simple but penetrating insight into cause and effect and the whys and ways things have gotten this “far”. I realize now that CD has been talking about “Peak Indifference” for years now, but this podcast clued me in to why it matters so much.

If Sean Carroll had Alan Alda on the show, it might get a little hard to tell who was talking.

Sean Carroll is one of my favorite podcast-format interviewers. Looking forward to listening to this.
