I remember seeing the originals when I was working at LC in the 80s Available online http://www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/fsac/about.html

–and my understanding is that there is no copyright on the images since the photographs are “works of the United States Government.”

I remember Taschen as being how you could get Japanese porn in legit bookstores in the early 90s. I had no idea they were still around.

I didn’t know about the Japanese erotica - always known them for art, design, fashion, photography niche.
