I can’t understand why he didn’t just drive this to Thailand and rescue those kids himself. Would’ve saved everybody a lot of time and trouble.

by that cross street given, i would place it in Peoria/ Glendale area of NW Phoenix, if that’s what you’re asking.

No but thank you. I was making a reference to the opening scene in Neal Stephenson’s novel “Snow Crash” in which Hiro tries to race through a suburban enclave, aka a ‘burbclave.’ He ends up crashing into an empty swimming pool. Someone else had already mentioned Uncle Enzo, another major mover in that novel. You might enjoy it. It was kind of a big deal.
