In 72. We went to Disney and one of the big draws for my Dad was the “Top of the World” at the Contemporary. It was adults only… they saw Diller perform there.
They had vegas style entertainment with some big names. Rickels, Bob Hope, Diller…etc.
My 10 year old self and slightly older brother were let loose to explore the arcade and the free movies. I was a big haunted mansion fan and there was this mysterious store at the Contemporary concourse. “The Spirit World” …it 'Adults Only" It was my goal to try to get in and when I did I found out it was just a liquor store.
