For my first post here I’m gonna disagree with you. Liberals are, by and large, humanists. Most of us try to live moral lives based on humanistic views of moral behavior. That we don’t base our morality on millennia old books (themselves of highly questionable morality) seems to be a major stone in the craw of religious conservatives. Why? None of us are perfect but, unlike our conservative friends, we try not to pretend that our answers are the only answers.
