(** Literally - rarely use in-ear thingies and when I do they are old/original Apple thingies that sit at the entrance to the ear and do not get anywhere near far enough into the ear to contact any wax.)
The easiest to clean wax off of ear buds, or anything, is heat. Wax has a very low melting point, so point your hair dryer at your buds for a few minutes and let the wax leak away, then use a tissue to wipe the rest. 60% of the time, it works every time.
So… I shouldn’t put them in the dishwasher?
Microwave for 30 seconds turning them over halfway through.
I dunno, that patina of earwax makes them feel more personal, you know?
Best tool is your credit card to buy some AKGs, which come with their own cleaning tool, and don’t expire due to planned obsolescence in a year.
I keep my ears clean and don’t have this problem.
My Sony groove ear buds are around 20 years old now and I’ve never cleaned them. Am I a troglodyte?
Plus, it filters out the highs so all you get is that nice thumpy bass.
