Stanislav Szukalski is one of my favorite artists. So fantastic! My husband and I saw the show of his work at Varnish Fine Art here in SF a few years back.
One of the interesting things about the Walter Keane case is that the entire thing of whether he or his wife had painted the paintings basically boiled down to a who can paint one in a courtroom sort of contest. She was able to, he unfortunately had a theoretically injured shoulder, which of course kept him from reproducing a “keane” in the courtroom.
Grade A sleazebag…
