In the responses, somebody makes a comment about how the use of Comic Sans “Ruined it for them”.
The official response was, “Be glad I didn’t use Papyrus.”

Well done spotting the Paul Klee influence! It was a subtle homage to Bauhaus motifs, its stark right angles and harsh grid offset by the warmth and naiveté of the hand-crafted type to its right. My favorite subtle element is the spot where the G in “Graphics” sits nestled inside the curve of boxes but rubs up against the point of the purple square, giving the viewer a sense of tension, conveying the urgent need that LA feels for a graphic(s) designer. Well, that, and the slightly squashed city seal to its right.
They need to add some Comic Sans or Papyrus to round it out.
Careful you might make it on some kind of watch list for a comment as dangerous as that
My city just holds “Art Contests” to avoid having to pay for any sort of graphic design.
The prize is having your work printed on liveried vehicles and official documents without attribution.
Apparently it would be “Great Exposure”.
The Designer Community already hates me for harshly critiquing Jony Ive’s disastrous foray into User Interface design, and my famous essay “In Defense of Skeuomorphisms”…
This personal one-man Apple-using designer community definitely doesn’t hate you for that.
I’m all for utilitarian design in theory, but I’d be just fine with a little woodgrain and 3D texture here and there.
