I must;
Fun fact: Swingline didn’t start making red staplers until after Office Space came out. The stapler in the movie was custom-painted.
I was wondering how it was considered “classic”
I had no idea, either.
I actually did know that, but it was worth it for her laugh.
So many uses…
I’m just in here to say the same thing as @cannibalpeas. I knew it, but enjoyed hearing the glee in her voice. Discovery is cool.
The chrome edition is also very good.
And be sure to read the Amazon reviews to get all necessary testimonials before purchase. There are over 3000 reviews.
Wait a minute. Those things are bigger and only come in kind of a weird green that is a little darker than an old fashioned steel filing cabinet but has a mysterious finish.
My Swingline is older than I am. I think this was a hand-me-down from my cousins or something. Still works fine.
When I was a kid in the ‘80s and my dad got a camcorder, Scrooged was one of the first films he copied. I must have watched it a million times. This guy is one of those characters that is seared into my memory.
Every time I use my red Swingline it makes me happy. Thanks, Office Space!
Yeah, I should have said they didn’t start making candy red staplers (like the one seen in the movie) until 2002.
IKR?
And they still got the wrong shade of red!
AM DISAPOINT!
Now as an artist with a background in color theory, I ‘have to’ nitpick.
This:
Is neither ‘Candy Red™’ or ‘Candy Apple™’ red.
There’s too much orange tint in the mix, (and don’t we hate that?) so it’s closer to vermilion.
/end art nerd pedantry.
Definitely my stapler.
Definitely.
Swingline is nice, I’m a Monarch man myself.
)Handed down three generations.
Also I’m sure you all aware there’s a lovely stapler “fetish” blog at [http://staplers.machinesoflovinggrace.com/](http://staplers.machinesoflovinggrace.com/
