The Digital Public Library of America has re-released the Mueller Report as a well-formatted ebook instead of a crappy PDF

This is good. I keep hoping for, though, an XHTML version with internal links, some sort of tags for all the names named to be able to find where they’re mentioned, and things like that. I think the NY Times may have done something of the sort.

Thom Hartmann has been reading the Mueller Report in the book review section of his show.

The Portable Document Format, or .pdf, was designed in the Medival Era of computers (the 1900’s). It was meant to print things. It was never meant as an electronically readable thing. Which is why I wonder why it is still a thing.

But did you know that computers were designed BEFORE the PDF (the 1700s)?! It’s incredible how they’ve managed to stay relevant and useful. I wonder why they’re still a thing.

Maybe it’s because they - like PDFs - continue to change and evolve?!
