“They’ve been trying to destroy me now for two years,” he continued. “Democrats in Congress created a false intelligence product and accused Chuck Grassley and I of disseminating Russian disinformation, leaked that to the media. Of course, the media dutifully complied and smeared us! And now, as I’m trying to run for re-election here, they’re trying to do the exact same things.”
Johnson then begged for donations to his campaign.

The Democratic Party does run a tight ship, it just operates according to “The Iron Law of Institutions”.
The Iron Law of Institutions is: the people who control institutions care first and foremost about their power within the institution rather than the power of the institution itself . Thus, they would rather the institution “fail” while they remain in power within the institution than for the institution to “succeed” if that requires them to lose power within the institution .

One hates to subscribe to a great man theory of history, especially when the people are the opposite, but it really does feel remarkable just how much harm all traces back to the same few names.

Stupid-ass move; judges are damn near untouchable, and you never want to piss one off…
It takes experts like Scientology and their law firms. A big case always runs through a full batting order of judges, but even they no longer use their old school tactic of harassing the judge and his staff, then claiming that he’s biased against them.
