My second to last word was RUBLE which would have been topical at least.

The one thing I will say about today’s Wordle (took me 5 tries, so believe me, I get it!) is that it’s a perfectly ordinary word for over a billion people.

So after the 8th try, instead of finishing off the upper-right, you pulled together the upper-left from a hodgepodge of greens and yellows (and possibly at least one blank)?
Were you TRYING to play on the hardest mode possible??!!

Like I said - I panicked!! I also didn’t realize I was on guess 8 at the time, or I probably would have tried a little harder on the RUQ instead of throwing a Hail Mary at the LUQ.
I really wanted the RUQ to be DEWAR and when it wasn’t I got grumpy, haha.

I for one could go for an 80s style analogue version of wordle like Mastermind (a childhood favorite of mine).
Some scrabble tiles and cribbage pegs would get you most of the way there. Could be a fun little project.

I had one of these in the late 70s. It generated a 3 to 5 digit number and you guessed like Master Mind and Wordle.
It’s what I first thought of when I started playing Wordle.
