For my initial word, I have sometimes attempted a theme, like on today’s Wordle. But in general, for the actual Wordle solution, I like randomness more than any thematic attempt. On December 19th, 2022, the Spanish version really broke the rules when the solution was the family name of a soccer player (albeit an important player on an important event, for those interested in the sport).
