I wouldn’t say it narrowed the possibilities very much. But, you definitely picked the right one; in your case, by my count, there were still five possible answers: AWARD, ABACK, APART, ARRAY, ADAPT (and maybe more). Kudos!

Yes, it is a tough one. After my second guess, I had a suspicion that the R was at the end of the word. Then, on my third guess, I played the obscure word WIVER to test for two possible words at the same time. And then, I think, it was narrowed down to only one possible solution.

Another day where you have to get four letters straight away otherwise you won’t have enough chances to try every possible word.

I mean, if you’re not playing on hard mode you can still eliminate most of those with a well-chosen word. I hadn’t realized I still had 20 possible words after my second word, so went straight into trying to get the actual word. If I HAD realized it, though, a word like PINKS for my third would have guaranteed I’d have no more than two possible words left.
