Does for me.

Unsure… I am at a coffee shop and their connection has been a little wonky for me in the past, so could be it?
In fact, the connect went down for me a minute ago…
Oh well… I can always read it later…
But I was gonna say, @BakaNeko - I like Maggie Mae Fish’s take on Twin Peaks…
That “solving” twin peaks (if that is the direct that that link goes down) isn’t the really interesting and enlightening part about the show… it’s what Lynch is attempting to highlight about media in general and different genres of TV…
But I also came to post this about Kevin Smith’s film Dogma… exciting news, that the Weinsteins no longer do they own the rights!!!
I’ve never watched Twin Peaks. I think it was boradcasted on Brazilian television very late and I was working as a trainee, studying English and having to go to night classes. I missed lot of TV shows…
You should check it out… It’s a werid, wonderful show that was really ahead of its time. Sadly, that did it in, but it was trailblazing in a lot of ways, especially the interconnected story-telling aspect, which is common among shows on streaming platforms today. It was a challenging show to watch, in part because the point wasn’t the mystery, but the people… at least that’s what I’d argue.
This looks amazing, but it also looks like it might trigger my motion sickness… I am reminded of another couple of films with some similar POV framing (Son of Saul and Come & See) but neither are frame quite so directly from the characters POV as this seems to be… it’s more like you’re very close in and seeing what the characters are seeing in those films, but never directly from their own eyes, if that makes sense.
I saw this gag last month:
APPLE TV+: “Our latest show stars four Oscar winners and costs $75M per episode. We have done zero advertising for it and it has been viewed by approximately 47 people.”
NETFLIX: “We’re excited to announce a seventh season of our most watched show, Airport Bathroom Toilet Camera.”
